The short version. Your drawings and photographs are used only to produce your result. They are not sold, not shared with other users, and not used to train any AI model. They are stored in infrastructure DesignDoct controls, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
1. Who we are
DesignDoct is an engineering software service operated by the academic team listed on our team page. For any question about this policy, or to request deletion of your data, contact infradoct@gmail.com or ashwin.pc@eq.iitr.ac.in.
2. What we collect

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not run third-party analytics on the pages where you upload files.
3. Where your data is stored
All uploads and results are stored in DesignDoct's own cloud infrastructure, which we control directly — not on a third-party platform or a shared drive. Files are encrypted at rest and public access is blocked: objects are not readable from the internet and are reachable only by our own backend services.
Uploads are organised per user and per date, so your files sit under a folder identified by your email address. Other users of the service cannot list or read your folder.
4. How long we keep it
Uploaded files, job records and generated reports are retained so that you can return to a past job. We do not currently apply an automatic deletion schedule — your data is kept until you ask us to remove it.
To have a specific project, or your entire account and all associated files, deleted, email infradoct@gmail.com from your registered address. We will action it and confirm when it is done.
5. Your rights
- Access — ask us what we hold about you.
- Correction — ask us to fix inaccurate account details.
- Deletion — ask us to erase your uploads, results and account.
- Withdraw — stop using the service; no further data is collected.

6. Security
Access to the service requires a verified account, and new registrations are approved manually. Every request is authenticated before any calculation runs. Files are encrypted at rest, all traffic to the site uses HTTPS, and our compute services are not reachable directly from the internet — only through an authenticating proxy.
No system is perfectly secure. If you find a vulnerability, please report it to infradoct@gmail.com rather than disclosing it publicly.
7. Engineering results are not a substitute for judgement
DesignDoct produces design aids and assessment reports. Every output must be reviewed and approved by a qualified structural engineer before use. See our Terms of Use.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes affecting existing users will be notified by email.
